Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & The Marble Rocks of Jabalpur

  • Morning: Arrive at Jabalpur (Airport/Railway Station). Check into your hotel.

  • Afternoon: Head to Bhedaghat (25 km from city). Take a boat ride through the Marble Rocks—towering magnesium limestone cliffs that change color under the sun.

  • Late Afternoon: Visit Dhuandhar Falls, where the Narmada River plunges into a misty gorge. You can take the ropeway here for a panoramic view.

  • Evening: Stop by the Chausath Yogini Temple (10th-century temple with 64 shrines) or witness the Narmada Aarti at Gwarighat for a spiritual end to the day.

  • Stay: Jabalpur.

Day 2: Jabalpur Sightseeing & Drive to Kanha

  • Morning: Visit the Madan Mahal Fort and the nearby Balancing Rock, a geological quirk where a massive boulder rests on another.

  • Noon: Depart for Kanha National Park (approx. 165 km / 4-hour drive).

  • Evening: Reach your resort near the Khatia or Mukki gate. Enjoy a quiet evening by a bonfire or a short nature walk around the buffer zone.

  • Stay: Kanha.

Day 3 & 4: Deep into the Jungle (Kanha Safaris)

  • Morning Safaris (6:00 AM – 11:00 AM): These are the best times for tiger sightings and birdwatching. Ensure you visit the Kanha Zone (famous for open meadows) and Mukki Zone.

  • Mid-Day: Relax at the resort, visit the Kanha Museum, or interact with the local Baiga tribes to learn about their unique tattoos and culture.

  • Afternoon Safaris (3:30 PM – Sunset): Track the "Jewel of Kanha"—the Barasingha (Swamp Deer)—which was saved from extinction here.

  • Stay: Kanha.

Day 5: Final Safari & Departure

  • Morning: One last morning safari or a guided bird-watching walk.

  • Noon: Check out and drive back to Jabalpur (4 hours) for your return flight or train.
