The Grand Madhya Pradesh Circuit (12 Nights / 13 Days)
Phase 1: The Spiritual & Historical West

Day 1: Indore (Arrival)

Activity: Explore the "Mini Mumbai." Visit Lalbagh Palace, Kanch Mandir, and the Rajwada.

Evening: Head to Chappan Dukan or Sarafa Bazaar for Indore’s world-famous street food.

Day 2: Mandu (The City of Joy)

Travel: Indore → Mandu (approx. 2 hours).

Activity: Explore the romantic ruins of Jahaz Mahal, Rani Roopmati Pavilion, and Hoshang Shah's Tomb (the inspiration for the Taj Mahal).

Day 3: Omkareshwar (The Island Temple)

Travel: Mandu → Omkareshwar (approx. 3 hours).

Activity: Visit the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga on the Mandhata island. Take a boat ride on the Narmada River to see the confluence of rivers.

Day 4: Ujjain (The Abode of Mahakal)

Travel: Omkareshwar → Ujjain (approx. 3.5 hours).

Activity: Visit Mahakaleshwar Temple. If you want to attend the Bhasm Aarti, you must book weeks in advance. Explore Kaal Bhairav and Ram Ghat in the evening.

Phase 2: The Heart of the State

Day 5: Bhopal (City of Lakes)

Travel: Ujjain → Bhopal (approx. 4 hours).

Activity: On the way, stop at the Sanchi Stupa (UNESCO site). In Bhopal, visit the Upper Lake and Taj-ul-Masajid, one of the largest mosques in Asia.

Day 6–8: Pachmarhi (Queen of Satpura)

Travel: Bhopal → Pachmarhi (approx. 5 hours). Stop at Bhimbetka Caves (Prehistoric rock art) and Bhojpur Temple en route.

Activities: Spend 3 nights here exploring Bee Falls, Jata Shankar Caves, Dhupgarh (the highest point in MP for sunset), and the Pandav Caves.

Phase 3: Wildlife & River Origins

Day 9–10: Kanha National Park (Tiger Country)

Travel: Pachmarhi → Kanha (approx. 7–8 hours). This is your longest drive.

Activity: Two nights here allow for multiple Jungle Safaris. Kanha is the setting for Kipling’s Jungle Book and is famous for its Barasingha (swamp deer) and Tigers.

Day 11: Amarkantak (The Holy Source)

Travel: Kanha → Amarkantak (approx. 4.5 hours).

Activity: Visit Narmada Udgam (the source of the river), Ancient Temples of the Kalachuri period, and Kapil Dhara waterfall.

Day 12: Jabalpur (The Marble Rocks)

Travel: Amarkantak → Jabalpur (approx. 5 hours).

Activity: Head straight to Bhedaghat. Take a boat ride through the Marble Rocks on the Narmada and visit the thunderous Dhuandhar Falls.
